What is Voltaren Aktigo / Voltaren Medicated Plaster and What Is It Used For?

Voltaren Aktigo (also known as Voltaren Medicated Plaster) is a pain-relieving patch that contains an anti-inflammatory ingredient, diclofenac sodium. Unlike heat patches, it directly targets the source of pain with powerful, deep pain relief. It’s commonly used to treat strains, tissue tears, and bruises from hand and foot injuries (like sports injuries), offering up to twice the pain relief compared to non-medicated patches. The plaster releases diclofenac continuously for up to 12 hours, providing discreet, odorless, and flexible relief.

It’s designed for adults aged 16 and older, with treatment lasting no more than 7 days. If symptoms don’t improve or worsen, consult your doctor.

What You Need to Know Before Using Voltaren Aktigo

You should not use Voltaren Aktigo if:

  • You are allergic to diclofenac or any other ingredients in the product.

  • You’ve had asthma, hives, or swelling after using NSAIDs.
  • You have an active stomach or duodenal ulcer.
  • You are in the last three months of pregnancy or under 16 years old.
